Grit is passion and perseverance for long-term and meaningful goals. It is the ability to persist and persevere when you face obstacles.

The Gritty Scholarship supports students attending Arizona State University who:

• work while going to school

• need to work hard in life to get to where you are

• did not always know the path

• make ends meet

• make things work

The founders of this scholarship are ASU alumni who were not academically exceptional, rather worked hard while pursuing their undergraduate and graduate education. The generous contributors (hopefully you) to this scholarship understand that the average person who possesses grit can achieve greatness.
